Proud Weegie

Party Animals.

No 3 had her first school disco this evening - a Halloween Fancy Dress.

She was as high as a kite by the time she came home and we've only just got her into bed. She wanted to dress up as a Cat (She wore her furry boots and went as 'Puss in Boots' !)

I find it a bit sad that all the children dress up as witches and scary costumes.

In my young day, you dressed up AS something, and a play on words always got you extra points in the judging.

I recall a trip to the local pub in Paisley in fancy dress as a twenty-somethinger. A young man in the pub was wearing a suit and tie but no shirt. He had a sign on his back saying 'Stockbroker' - still makes me laugh.

Kids just go to ASDA now and buy a mask and a costume. It's all very American (Trick or Treat!)...bring back carving Turnips, and going 'Guising'.

It's probably as old fashioned as 'bob a job' !
