Balloon Spectacular
We have just arrived back at the farm after a wonderful night at the Balloon Glow in Canowindra. It was hard to estimate the number of people that were there but I hazard a guess that it’s one of the most popular family events in the country. It was so exciting to see the pilots parade around the show ground with their burners blasting away. About an hour later they were alight and the sight was spectacular. Unfortunately it was quite windy and some of the really large balloons battled to stay aloft but it was still a sensational and very moving sight.
We were there with our friends Myra and Sabine and sadly we never sighted trisharooni, there were just SO many people. I walked up and down the entire row of food stalls without being inspired at all until finally I stumbled on a very unpretentious looking stall that was serving sensational food. I had to call by and let the chef know that it was the best chicken pasta bake I had ever had. I heard her call out to her team as I walked away - “Did you hear that girls?” I left the grounds with a smile on my face, almost as big as the balloon I have posted in my extra image tonight.
This was a big weekend for CCN and I. It’s been quite some time since we have actually slept in our motor home due to some health challenges, but I’m happy to say it has been a great success and I can feel a few more short stay holidays may be on the horizon.
