Baby On Board
We had a day trip to Wapping today to see daughter#1 and her family, including of course Rory our grandson. We went from Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone for the first time, and it was a good experience. I don't know why we haven't done this before as it was overall quicker and cheaper than our usual Kingham/Paddington route, and there were lots more trains so it wasn't so stressful getting home.
There were several lost photo opportunities during the day - the two girls taking arty photos of their Coors Light cans on the train, probably on their way to a boozy weekend I think, the two Domino's Pizza riders, parked prominently outside Pizza Express where we had our lunch, and the girl on the tube with bright pink shoes who was carefully examining another pair of newly purchased shoes in exactly the same shade, obviously her favourite colour. By the way the Irish waiter in Pizza Express said I looked like Anthony Hopkins, a young version he hastened to add!
Back to the blip, it was always going to be daughter#1, seen here in the coffee shop in Wapping which serves coffee in conical flasks. She is buying some chocolate brownies to takeaway and if you look closely you will see the LUL Baby On Board badge she now wears again. She gave us the great news this week that she is expecting again, with the baby due in October, our second grandchild. Mrsfb is over the moon, as she missed out on all the excitement of Rory's entry into the world 3 years ago as she was otherwise occupied in the Intensive Care Unit of Southmead Hospital in Bristol. She has fully recovered now, and will be much more involved in things this time I think.
