Spiderman
We went for our tickets today for our holiday to New York. Cheryl and I this morning sat and watched the developments unfold in front of us as hurricane Sandy had left such devastation in the State of New York and New Jersey. You have to feel for these people who have suffered and our thoughts go to the families who have lost loved ones, also it can't be easy to see your home blown away or burned down. Nature at its worst, of that there is no doubt.
So, we sat there and tried to imagine what it will be like when we go there or will we even get to go. With the worries the people of New York have, ours are secondary to that and the worries of people who are still there and trying to get back home.
When we were sitting there watching the news I went through to make a cup of tea and above the patio door, this little chap was climbing up the wall. My god he is the biggest house spider I've ever seen.
It was nice to get a break from the news, standing watching what he was going to do next but he did nothing just sat there waiting for his photo to be taken so I duly obliged. This is the blip for today, this big creepy crawly. The devastation today was like a spiderman story from a Marvel Comic, only it was all too real.
Lets hope, the people of New York draw together their spirit once more and can rebuild their city and their lives after one of the worst natural disasters ever.
