Things that make me smile

The Globe

Today I took Amy and James into London. Amy is learning about the Tudors in her history lessons at school this year, and for her half term homework she has a Tudor project to complete. She has chosen to write about Tudor theatre, so obviously a trip to the Globe was a must!

She really loved it. We had a fab guide who was really enthusiastic and told many stories about Tudor life which Amy found fascinating. James also enjoyed it... he had his camera and took many photos.

After lunch we walked back along South Bank and made our second stop of the day... the Florence Nightingale Museum. As Amy was getting an attraction visit around a school project, James wanted one too. He has been learning about Florence Nightingale, and the museum is right next to Waterloo, so it made sense. Have to say I didn't know an awful lot about her and I was very impressed how much James had retained from his school work. He pretty much took on the role as our tour guide.

A very successful day out!
