When I first used hub dynamo lighting I briefly tried fastening the light to the front mudguard, but it felt extremely wobbly and unsafe. The mount currently in use is a fork crown mount but was probably intended for a mere reflector, making even the relatively light weight of the Lumotec a bit too wobbly, especially when extended by the light's own mount.
