Very wet today. Went to volunteer but too wet to work in garden. I was glad as my shoulder is on the mend but still not right. Got an indoor job which I enjoyed - checking off the bird lists back to 1974 with the print out of the data base. There were quite a few errors so in the future they will be updated on the data base on the computer. It will keep me busy for some time if we have very rainy weather.

Fascinating seeing the changes in numbers - some numbers have fallen but others have gone up. The earliest entry I came across was for 1871.

Usual birds busy at the feeders. There was a wren on one of the tree stumps. The pair of bramlings are still around and the sparrowhawk flew past the window very fast spooking the group of mallards who took to the air.

Looking around for a blip, saw these which are just some of my collection of jars and inkwells that are on a high narrow shelf in my kitchen. Some time I may be desperate for a blip and blip some of the glass ones.
