Bitter

Bitter is the only word I have to describe the weather today. This time last week we were sitting outside enjoying sunshine! It feels like Old Man Winter is having a last fling. 
We did not particularly enjoy the 0515 start to our day when Miss Tilly arrived to tell us it was morning. She left all the doors open between and so Indie dog went to say good morning to Miss Izzy who had clearly not finished her sleep. So, for the next hour or two Izzy slept on the sofa whilst Tilly played Peppa Pig games on an iPad.
They went home before lunch to do their school prep and unfortunately left their toothbrushes behind. So, this afternoon we drove to their house to return them and then carried on to the beach at the north of the island. Tomorrow is the last day that dogs are allowed on most beaches and so the two dogs enjoyed a walk on the sandiest one! 
The Kite surfers were out in force. We counted four altogether, there is another in extra. The gorse on the headland behind the holiday apartments looked really bright and cheerful.
It was so cold it was a very quick walk and then home again :)
