Shuttlingsloe Approach
What a cold day! It was still good walking weather though. But we had to back track a couple of time due to paths in Macclesfield Forest being blocked by fallen trees. All due to storms a month ago.
We did managed to complete the route up to this little hill - Shuttlingsloe, otherwise known as "The Matterhorn of the Peak". We even had the summit to ourselves, which is not usually the case.
The views from the top were amazing. We could see various other hill tops, Jodrell Bank, Manchester city centre, Beeston Castle, and even the Clywdian Hills.
