Walking on thin ice

You certainly wouldn't want to be walking on ice this thin!
Last Sunday I backed out of the ski-tour as I felt unsure of the terrain and the conditions. This Sunday the trip with the local club was cancelled (wisely) at the last minute due to the significant rain overnight.
After tidying up the patio and pottering around the house a swim seemed to be the best activity for the day. I enjoyed it.
