Cowslips and Forget-me-nots
In my wild flower border..........which could actually be any of the borders at the moment as no real tidying up has been done out there.......... we're experimenting with letting the garden ' do what it wants ' for a while ( just cutting the lawn ) to see what pops up naturally........I can't see it catching on but I bet the insects will love it :-))
This was backblipped on Sunday and was the only photo I took because it rained all day.
The we took ourselves off to a large department store to look at microwaves........our rather old one works perfectly but annoyingly the door won't open anymore when you press the button, which makes it useless :-/
After more than an hour of looking at, measuring, opening and closing everything on display and much discussion, predictably we couldn't decide which one to get out of two final choices..........so we went to look at the fridges ( as you do) for a distraction........and because since doing the food hygiene certificate I've been monitoring my fridge temperature ( yes, exciting, I know ) and while it's not too bad it leaves a little to be desired ...........well, it is about 20 years old!!
The fridge and separate freezer I have are about 5 feet tall which means I can use the top for extra storage of things I use frequently but haven't got room to store at a height I can get to ........but all the new fridges are at least 6 feet tall to get the equivalent internal volume because of all the thick insulation in the sides to get the A++ rating.........so if I change my fridge I lose my storage space, and my kitchen isn't big enough to put any more storage in.......so I have a dilemma :-/
Needless to say we walked out empty handed but it was just as well actually because the microwave we almost bought wouldn't quite have fitted where we needed to put it, so we actually saved ourselves the hassle of having to take it back :-)
........and the fridge debate continues. ;-)))
