It's very nice that Mr. Wilcox is concerned about my head getting chilly but I can confirm that I'm well-ahead of the game there. I have been known to suffer from cold ears (they're bloody small) and nose and everyone should have a hat, no matter what they get up to in the colder months.

Therefore I've had a Lowe-Alpine Mountain Cap and a SubZero Meraklon neck-tube for a few years. These two are the ne plus ultra of headgear in my opinion.
