The view from rosé

Did you know the dawn chorus started at 4.10? I did get back to sleep and then was woken by J phoning, frae sunny France. Another addition to the family due in October.

Spent the morning doing domestic and personal stuff including pouring over Battle of Arras trench maps.

The afternoon in the garden, hacking down ivy, feeding roses, planting some more spuds and scattering some grass seed.

Ended up with a glass of rosé. The sky was blue, the sun was warm but single figures is forecast again for the rest of the week.
