Sycamore Gap Walk

We visited Housesteads fort on Hadrian’s wall today. Neither of us had walked this part of the wall before and it more than lived up to expectations. Lots of ups and downs closely following the wall with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.

Couldn’t resist the famous Sycamore tree in the gap complete with a newly planted mini version. You may have to zoom in to see it! However I did like the view back to Housesteads in the extra complete with another photographer vying for prime position.
