YHA Snowdonia Bryn Gwynant

We'd been planning on taking the kids to a youth hostel for a while, and tried to get into their Coppermines Hostel near Coniston, only to find that 2 nights in a family room with 4 bunk beds would have cost about £280. No concessions for the fact that 2 of the occupants were aged 4 and 6- and this was a "family room" which could only be booked where there were adults and children. The YHA seems to have changed some since its inception- see extra.
Needless to say a "complaint" was made and we ended up rejecting the Coppermines idea and going to an excellent hostel near Beddgellert in Snowdonia. There we had an en suite family room that was, I am pleased to say, much more reasonably priced thanks to an "offer".
