A golden glow
Woke this morning to an overcast sky, and decided I did not want to run in the greyness of the morning. I could (and did) have my run in the middle of the day while S was at yoga. About five minutes after making that decision, the moon, which had been covered by cloud, became visible. Large low and clearly showing the surface.
Out with the Pentax and too much camera shake, so also out with the tripod. The fifth one was the one. I got the focus right, and the (still hidden by clouds) sun was being reflected off the surface of the moon to give it a truly golden glow. There was still a lot of cloud around, and after only about 10 or 15 minutes the cloud cover again became complete.
Pretty good in large.
Later, after completing a report, I ran down to the waterfront, and along Westhaven Drive. At St Mary's Bay a half dozen or so people were having a lesson in paddle boarding. I was able to position myself to picture the tutor and two learners with the Sky Tower and other central city tower buildings behind them. If interested you can check it out on my blipfolio.
