people and individuals

i have been thinking about a question for some time now, and i still haven’t came up with an answer. it follows: “people and individuals; which are bad, which are good?”

there are four answers, but two if you only count the contradictory ones. it’s either “people are bad, individuals are good” or “people are good, individuals are bad”

i would love to pick a point and write a long argument about it, but in my opinion both of them can make sense, depending on what you think the norm for humankind is
