Feijoa

New Zealanders know this fruit very well. A lot of households have a tree in their backyard and at this time of the year the ripe fruit is dropping on the ground by the bucket loads.  In other countries they may be known by other names.  We saw them at the market in San Francisco called Strawberry Guava.
