Marrakech Day 3
Lovely cool walk through the souks this morning where as well as many shops selling leather and metal goods we saw a number of workshops doing amazing but rather dangerous work to produce their products. Not much risk assessment here.
These small pieces of leather were laid out to dry before being made into slippers or sandals. A bit like a Matisse cut out.
Then onto a delicious lunch at La Mamouria which is considered one of the "best" hotels in Marrakech, though it is very European and to be honest you could be in almost country once inside.
Tomorrow onto Casablanca and Rabat
Update...just walked up to the square at Fna...open every evening of the year with pop up eating places, snake charmers, musicians etc etc. Bursting with life, sounds and smells. Extra provided.
PS Sorry I am not getting through commenting to all your journals but I'll do my best when I can. x
