Gardening
Nell has been helping with the weeding. Not sure Mr L found her particularly useful...
Today is a Public Holiday so our pace of life slowed a little and instead of battling red tape and insurance companies, we took up arms against the garden instead.
I also used the downtime to fill in a few blips. There hasn't been much camera time or much of interest to snap but something is better than nothing.
Not sure now where we were up to in these journals but the main items recently include:
Bought a car last week and due to collect this Friday if we can prove residence and buy insurance in time.
Bought a stupidly large sun umbrella for the garden
Bought a garden table and chairs
Bought a stupidly large BBQ.
The BBQ has been delivered but not yet assembled. Much of today's gardening was to clear up the space designated as outdoor kitchen. The chairs came home from the garden centre with us but neither table nor umbrella would fit in the hire car. They should fit our new car so we are collecting them at the weekend IF the car thing works out in time.
Used cars are horribly expensive in France and I suffer collywobbles every time I consider just how much money we blew last week. Still, money is only good for spending and you can't take it with you when you go, can you?
I still need to find a spinning wheel. It will be grand to sit out in the garden and spin!
