a hedgehog

aka mango - it will join its peers in my Rumtopf. So far they are soaking with strawberries and blackberries  in a mixture of 80 proof white rum and sugar. During the coming months raspberries, nectarines and peaches are added and when Christmas comes closer it will be a delicious addition to ice-cream, custards, cheesecake, you name it - 
Last year I made the mistake and gave in to taste tests in October and by the beginning of December the show was over - 
So this year I will keep a tight lid on the jar!
