Reflections.....

.......and autumn shades, pretty along the Kaiapoi River today.

Lovely to wander through the park with mum by my side, we chatted about the change of season, golden leaves mingling with green on the trees while brown leaves carpeted the grass below. 

The path led us up onto the swing bridge and there before our eyes was this view along the river, so still.....we stood and admired it while the sun warmed our backs. 

And then taking the path gently winding down amongst tall trees and between the band rotunda and rose garden. Just a few roses in bloom, pinks, reds and yellow could be seen but the fragrance was light being on their last legs.

It was lovely to take the time to stop and stretch our legs for a while. To savour the day and to feel calm again after another visit to see R who is really starting to deteriorate......

A little brightness to our day......
