Plaza del Cabildo
Seville Day 3
Is it only our third day? We seem to have seen and done so much, that its hard to believe that it can only be our third day.
It turns out that our hotel is quite close to the Plaza de Espana (which features in one of my extras) so we tend to wander through that on our way into the historic centre of Seville in the morning. This morning there were a group of fiery looking women in traditional costume taking it in turn to either flamenco dance or clap along with 3 supporting musicians and a singer. I might end up blipping the Plaza de Espana every day if I am not careful - its such a bonkers (in a really good way) beautiful creation.
We stumbled upon this hidden semi-circular courtyard ~ the Plaza del Cabildo ~ whilst looking for a good spot to have our late morning coffee. This wasn't the solution to our coffee craving, but what a beautiful building with its curving arcade and tiered levels, almost like a wedding cake :-). It is not mechanical I'm afraid, so doesn't make the theme for this week's WidWed challenge (sorry Bob) but it was just too good not to blip.
Finally, I have included a shot of Seville's panoramic walk - the Metropole Parasol. I gather that it was pretty controversial, and I can see why, but it does give you a great view of the rooftops of Seville, particularly on a lovely sunny day like today.
