Boats and lock mechanisms

We were up with an alarm call this morning as our hairdresser was here just after nine!

We have both been shorn, Ive been coloured and blown too! After she had gone, we tidied up and hub listened to PMQ's we decided to go out for a few hours as the earlier grey skies and rain seemed to be clearing.

We took a drive to Rufford where we had a lovely lunch on Fettlers Wharf before walking off some of those calories along the canal, whilst keeping my eyes open for possible shots for Bobsblips wide anygle challenge.

We both settled on this shot, of the canal and the marina, and if you look closely in the mid,section, there are the remains of an old lock gate or sluce mechanism, which should fit with Bobs theme of mechanical this week.

Just a snack for us this evening.......probably cheese and crackers a little later ;-)
