Aquafaba Dolly
I was making falafel for dinner this evening so I had opened a can of chickpeas! Did you know the liquid in a can of chickpeas is called aquafaba, and you can use it as an egg substitute! I decided to try making some vegan chocolate mousse, most have gelatine in them so I can't eat them! I was surprised quite how well they turned out, so good Lewis are one before I even told him what it was! I think I added a touch too much sugar, I don't think I'd add any next time, but they still taste great! The big one looks smoothest as I tapped it to get the bubbles out, I'll do that next time too! I think my next thing will be to try making meringue with it, good not to just chuck it down the sink!
