Barns Ness

It was a sunny morning so we decided to go to East Lothian and look at the coast east of Dunbar. However by the time we got there it was much more hazy and less sunny. Barns Ness is a great spot geologically with outcrops of Carboniferous limestone, mudstones, coal and sandstones and we spent a good 90 minutes going just over a kilometre looking at the rocks. The blip is a view of one of the limestone layers looking west towards the Bass Rock near North Berwick. The extra is a piece of limestone that reminded me of The Scream by Edvard Munch.

Yesterday’s blip.
