Israel & Palestine trip Day 7

Our day began on the Sea of Galilee, which is really a lake but was the biggest expanse of water known to some of those who fished on it so called a sea. 
Then on to Capernaum, where Jesus chose to live after growing up as a child in Bethlehem..We walked to Tiberias, a small fishing village and the home of Peter the fisherman. 
The Mount of the Beatitudes gave beautiful views across the region and would have been the perfect place to listen to Jesus and hear his blessings on the poor, those who mourn, the poor in spirit, the peacemakers.....The Church of the Beatitudes had just closed for lunch so we couldn't go inside. The gardens were beautiful though. 

It's been another busy day! Nice to get back to our home by the Sea of Galilee!
