A patient fisherman!

This morning I went for a walk along the canal close to where I live.  It was obvious that the holiday season had started as there was quite an increase in the number of boats.

I saw this heron watching for fish on the other side of the canal. A boat came past that shielded me from sight and enabled me to walk opposite to it to get a closer shot. The heron didn't seem at all bothered by the boat or the people on board and I was surprised that no-one on board the two boats that passed seemed to notice it at all!

I stood for a while hoping to see it catch a fish but it had more patience than I did!
