Number 1460 - four years of Blips!

I wanted something different for today but all I saw was dull cloud, drizzle and dampness. Then I went into a museum and saw this - never seen anything like it before. It looks like just a swirl of colour - it could be on a board or a tray or even on a table. It is an anamorphic portrait. If a reflective object is placed in the centre a portrait is seen when it is viewed from the correct angle (very little tolerance) a portrait is seen reflected - see 'extra'.
This is in the West Highland Museum and the portrait is of Bonnie Prince Charlie. The idea was that the portrait was not obvious when the glass, or whatever was used, was removed so those looking for Jacobite sympathisers did not realise what it was.
