Thanks duck it's Friday!
This is becoming our ritual, was actually warm enough to eat our fish and chips on the sea wall. Doesn't get much better.
Met up with the mistletoe therapy specialist today. He happens to be one of my GPS too. I had read up on it, too late to go with prophylactic treatment, where they start with a low dose and build up. The recommended one for me would be stronger, administered through infusion and causing flu like symptoms for 24 hours while my own immune system is retrained to target the cancer cells which may remain ( do remain according to him). While I completely trust that this therapy works. And is of great benefit. The two thousand pounds it costs made me think twice. We discussed fasting before chemo sessions, I have previously fasted on the 5-2 to lose a little weight but mainly because I do think it improves wellbeing, mentally and physically so I will be dragging the book out again. He is prescribing some homeopathic remedies for liver support during chemo, and also some herbal remedies to iron out my sleeping troubles. He did agree that it is a good idea to take that sleeping tablet if I have a few bad nights. He's not worried about addiction, and I think it's a good strategy. Sleep deprivation does not serve me well. Think I could sleep on a wire tonight. All that sea air. We will see...
