Oak, River Ouse Floodplain
This somewhat solitary Oak, growing quite close to the River Ouse north of White Bridge, is already developing a rather 'Stag-Headed' appearance.
Taken on a seven hour ramble from Newick, along the Sussex Ouse Valley Way to Barcombe, and back again only partly by the river, on a cloudless and clearly the hottest day of the year so far.
