Hickery Dickery Dock

A dock shield bug on a coltsfoot 'clock'. Coltsfoot sends up its yellow flowers before the leaves, which are shaped like the hooves of horses. The seed heads are like those of dandelions but more dense and fluffier. They remind me of my granny's powder puff.
