It was a silly Saturday

My cousin Sheri and I got out of the house about 9:30 to start a day of being out and about to several places..the first being the open air market that is held in the nearby city of Columbia on Saturday mornings.   The city closes several blocks of Main Street so that vendors can set up shop until 1pm.   We visited several vendors buying a few things to bring home.   

After we had a lunch of a grilled portabella mushroom with peppers, onions and cheese..which was yummy..we went to Ridgeway about 30 minutes away.   We visited the antique shop and a couple of other shops but decided to have dessert and a pot of tea at Laura's Tea Room.  They do serve good food there and upstairs is set up very fancy for English High Tea with the little sandwiches, crumpets and other things English.  The restaurant provides hats for the ladies to use for the proper dress for high tea.   So after we found our favorite hats..we must have tried on 20 hats..(and we did not even think about how many other people had these hats on their head!)..we had the waitress to take a photo of us with the queen!   

A very silly time we had!!  

Tomorrow we are on the road again!
