Oops, just realised (it's Sunday morning) that I hadn't posted my blip from Thursday, Day One of my short visit to Inverness. Silly me!

Travelled up by train this (i.e. Thursday) morning and after settling in to my accommodation went for a walk around to get my bearings.

Later in the afternoon I went for a walk along the River Ness to the Ness Islands. Got as far as Whin Island, where there is a boating pond (see extra) and what looks like a miniature railway, though no trains seemed to be in evidence. There were some colourful animals around, however.

Been a while since I last saw a pink elephant!
