Scary Teddy
What a busy day for Teddy. He took the little people on a surprise walk to a local hotel where all the staff dressed up and gave them hot chocolate, cupcakes and a goodie bag. Then Teddy realised three flaws in the plan.
One, they had to walk all the way back. Two, they would have to write thank you letters in the afternoon. Three, he might have broken the law, the one that deals with nutrition of children in school. You know, that one. Oops.
Solutions. Walk back very slowly. Very slowly. Make bats with little messages. Who knew bats could be so cute! Claim that Halloween is a Scottish cultural tradition, therefore exempt from the food police act. Returning at lunch time wasn't exactly the zenith of planning either!
But how the little people loved it all! They all sat in the huge, leather comfy chairs having such a lovely conversation about how many of the bits of maths and language we where doing, were needed if you worked in that place. You can never underestimate the value and the power of context, thinks Teddy.
And so Teddy returned home. To sit in the dark so he wasn't pestered by guisers! And to eat eyeballs. It's a Teddy thing.
Gruesome, but soft, old Ted.
