Loughborough Big Meadow.
One of the few Lammas meadows still remaining in the country and the wildflowers are just beginning to bloom. You can see it well from the train on the way into and out of Lbro. And, it's all down to the hard work and care of Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, which I've recently become a member of and I'm really enjoying visiting and photographing their reserves.
This is on one of my regular Sunday pootle bike ride circuits from Quorn out onto the wolds and back through Loughborough. Today was especially glorious in the sunshine and there's an extra of one of my 'places' to stop and have a breather and my morning coffee. Tomorrow I might cycle out to Wanlip nature reserve and then have a meander round Watermead, especially if the weather is as lovely as it is today.
