Gretchen's Farewell

Halloween wouldn't be complete without the appearance of Gretchen. She visits every year for the month of October.

Her most endearing quality for me would have to be those shoes. I've never figured out how she gets them on.

She's been hanging around for four weeks and has actually started to wear thin on me.

You could say she's worn out her welcome over the past month. I'll be looking forward to her departure.

Of course Daunti (the Mrs.) will be in a state of depression as she deals with the separation pains.

So the night winds on, and the end draws near, and one can only dream of what Thanksgiving will bring.
