Juvenile Heron

I have not seen the herons around for some months then I spotted a juvenile heron a couple of times earlier this week, flying over but not within camera reach. However, this afternoon I spotted it just below the sea wall where the outflow from Seafield Pond is pumped out. Fortunately it was too focussed on catching fish to bother about me poking my head above the sea wall and I managed to get a few close-ups and was even more delighted when I got home to discover that one of the shots included a small fish in its beak. Worth seeing large.
