What a difference a week makes

Today it feels like we have bypassed Spring and moved straight from winter to Summer . A bit like the Billy Connolly joke - " the are 2 seasons in Scotland - June and Winter " 

This morning we'd a walk along the old Deeside Railway line where there was some impressive blossom on the trees.  Lunch and most of the afternoon was spent in one of our local hotels having a birthday lunch for the Chief and my mother . Excellent food and service . Still warm enough this evening to sit out till 7pm - not too many days like this in the Granite City .
