Bluebells, Greys Court, Oxfordshire
This weekend has been amazing! Beautiful weather - and on a Bank Holiday weekend, no less!! Almost unheard of!
My friend Sue and I went over Grey’s Court (National Trust) near Henley this afternoon. We went specifically to see the bluebells. There is a large wooded area where they are are like a deep carpet of blue/purple - almost as far as the eye can see. They were probably a little past their prime but they were still stunning.
Grey’s Court is also famous for their wisteria, but it looked as if they hadn’t bloomed very much at all yet, even though we saw plenty of fully blossoming wisteria as we drove through nearby Wargrave on our way to Henley. Maybe I will have to go back in another week or two to see the wisteria at its peak.
