Flying The Flag
We’ve had a lovely time in London. My dad and Alfie went to watch Arsenal ((Arsene Wenger’s last home match; they won 5-0) and D, Poppy and I went on to Oxford street and did some shopping. It’s been a beautiful, sunny day. After shopping we went to Byron Burger for dinner then walked over to Trafalgar Square and sat by the fountain for a while. FInallly we made our way back to Kings Cross. My dad and Alfie got on the train at Finsbury Park along with several thousand other Arsenal fans. It was a bit of a squash and a squeeze and I was glad I’d had a couple of glasses of wine at that point as I’m not a huge fan of crowded places or trains.
It’s lovely to be home and the promise of another sunny day and not much to do tomorrow. Yay!
