Hoverfly: Eupeodes luniger
I believe this to be a male hoverfly - Eupeodes luniger.
This will have to make do in the absence of my intended blip subject.
I had gone out hoping for a butterfly (everyone else seems to be blipping them) but even after two warm days they are not putting in an appearance.
I have added an 'extra' of another facet of the local hospital taken yesterday (as promised)
[EDIT]
I have been told that this hoverfly might in fact be Scaeva selenitica. I cannot tell them apart.
