Rows of pearls

There's definitely an air of wonder and beauty around spiders webs. Well the ones whizzed up over night and have collected pearls of morning dew. I dont think this is the same of the household one signalling time for cleaning! But never-the-less they are a fascinating part of nature.

They are awesome. This one was undisturbed - better still. Lined with water pearls of dew -most impressive. Caught in picture with a superb (well I think so) use of contrasting focus - pot luck!


The Spider Web

The spider spun a silver web
Above the gate last night
It was round with little spokes
And such a pretty sight
This morning there were drops of dew
Hung on it, one by one;
They changed to diamonds, rubies red.
When they were lit with sun.
A spiders nice to have around
To weave a web so fine
On which to string the drops of dew
That catch the bright sunshine.
