Sugar Pumpkin

Oddly this shot somehow feels like a cousin of my transit of Venus blip.

Went grocery shopping this evening. It's a ghost town out there...and I'm not talking about all the little kids in bedsheets. The stores were totally deserted. Which happily made for short lines and a kind of eery public solitude while shopping. On the way into the market, I picked up this little guy--an impulse buy. Thought I might go to the movies tonight but instead I went back home, put on a costume, and carved my tiny pumpkin in the peaceful quiet of my kitchen. Happy Halloween.
