Happy granny May!

Thanks to the warm weather, we finally have a fruit tree in flower so I can hang the rather cute martenitsa sent for me by my student's mother. The male and female characters are Пижо и Пенда (Pizho and Penda). As regular readers will know, in Bulgaria this is an ancient pagan tradition acknowledging Баба Марта (Grandmother March), but this is Scotland bwana. So, although it's two months late, hopefully it will bring fertility to our cherry tree.
