Meltwater, Sanetch Pass

We went to look for the Bearded Vulture today, but the valley where they nest, is still being cleared of avalanche debris so the road is closed till Thursday. The next valley, towards the Sanetch Pass, was partially open so H and I followed this raging Alpine river until we were forced to follow some "interesting" snow slopes through the high forest. Being older and wiser we did not push on very far! It is really difficult to get up high anywhere in the Alps yet, after the exceptionally snowy winter we have had.
