Pink Hot Poker

Most red hot pokers are red. Right? Except this one, which is pink. It's also the only flower in the entire garden which doesn't blow around when there's a gale. Actually it was a fairly stiff breeze but it seemed like a gale. And, as luck would have it, the sun actually shone for all of 30 seconds while I took this photo. Yay!!

It's not been a good blip day, too cold for critters, too much wind for a decent macro. And I've been running around all day chasing my tail, so didn't have all that much time. So, there you are - a pink hot poker, because I really and truly couldn't find anything else.
