Leggless lady

When you see the full shot you will see that the lady is leggless because she has a fish tail ! She is the mermaid of Zennor and this medieval bench end is in the church.  The extra explains the legend.  As a teller of folkstories it's fine by me  but I seem to remember when I was here years ago there was a slight sense of embarrassment and attempts to read a Christian meaning into  it.
