Dramas

The "bird Guy", Ron, told us that he had found 16 greylag nests on the island a couple of weeks ago.
These little fluffy fellas are the result... they passed through the garden of the cottage on the way to the sea, carefully cajoled and shepherded by their mums and two ganders. The drop to the beach was about 2 metres at the spot they picked, but after much honking from below and nudging from above, they all made it.
Danger wasn't over, though, as the parents had to keep a sharp eye out for swooping black-back and herring gulls. The goslings kept sensibly close to mum, but didn't seem in the least bit fazed by the vast sea and fairly lumpy swell...
