Poor little lad !

J and I are on holiday in Dorset, near to Poole, for a couple of weeks and because of the good weather, decided on a boat trip to Brownsea Island.

What a wonderful place it is. A Red Squirrel (not this one) came to within a few feet of us, as we sat on a log, but too quick for me to get a shot of it.

The one in the picture wasn't quite so active and only had one ear. We reported this to a warden, who said that it may have a type of Leprosy, which does, unfortunately, affect Squirrels.
